Versatile Antiseptic & Degreasing Cleaning Solvent
Epic Solutions 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol (Isopropanol, IPA) is widely used in industry and is a versatile liquid that finds itself used in a lot of personal products including cosmetics for their degreasing and antiseptic properties. As quick-evaporating liquid, it is a perfect surface cleanser in most situations as it does not leave any residues behind. As a degreasing solvent, IPA can also clean up uncured adhesives, resins and sealants. Due to these properties, Isopropyl Alcohol is widely used for preparing surfaces prior to adhesion and assembly in DIY and manufacturing. Typical examples of where Isopropanol is used include circuit boards, electricals (computers and mobile phones), cars, manufacturing machines, medical equipment, lenses, optics and fibre optics, wires, cables, LCD panels, etc.
Core Ingredient for Scientifically Approved Disinfectant/Antibacterial Liquid
What’s more, mixing with a little bit of water will make it one of the most powerful antibacterial liquid man has ever known- 70% Isopropanol is on Environmental Protection Agency’s “List of Antimicrobial Products Effective Against Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, Human HIV-1 and Hepatitis B Virus”. You can use 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning, disinfecting and sanitising surfaces, tools and even your wounds (hence the name “Rubbing Alcohol”)!
How to use Isopropyl cleaner
CAUTION
As a solvent Isopropyl Alcohol can damaged certain finishes and/or coatings of a surface. Avoid using any rubbing alcohol on painted, shellacked, lacquered, or varnished surfaces, including treated wood.
Same for fabric, it is best to avoid using isopropyl alcohol to clean or sanitise delicate or synthetic materials like acetate, rayon, wool, and silk.
